darby is a multidisciplinary artist, animator, and musician based in Melbourne, originally from the Mid-North Coast of NSW. With a focus on movement, energy, and impulse, darby's work is often formed through quick sketch drawing, her use of exaggeration and play in interpreting her subjects has garnered a recognisable style, signaling a close connection to her inner child and a refreshing freedom in her work. darby has exhibited in group shows at Backwoods Gallery (Collingwood), Brunswick Street Gallery (Fitzroy), and Unassigned Gallery (Brunswick), and held solo shows at her previous place of residence Alpha House Gallery (Sydney), Blackcat Bar (Fitzroy), and Rebel Rebel Bar (Preston), with additional works sold across Melbourne’s CBD and in private collections across Australia.
